The painting depicts a transitional zone as our souls leave Earth, where we can briefly glimpse the mechanism of the cosmos – calming and morphing what was Earthly in our being and offering us the portal to what comes next. What we do during this transition varies from soul to soul, so I'm depicting one souls’ presence in this dynamic.

… it is you, bending over a pool of water, pouring your heart out. Self sacrifice. In a moment of indulgence and soul searching, you realize what most have missed.  We are all in unison with our surroundings, a small part of the whole, and a whole part of the small. Everything is one. We hold our destiny and Heaven in our hands.

Whether you are a hummingbird or a nautilus, you are just a reference swatch that captures the creativity of the moment of your existence. Even when your existence has passed, you will still have left an impression in time’s great continuum.
